Our History

In the spring of 2013, the members of Northland Baptist Church completed a major remodel of its building. God had put the desire in the hearts of Pastor and Mrs. Miller to begin a Christian school years earlier, but with the completion of the church model, the time was right to begin Northland Christian School. NCS opened in the fall of 2013 with just nine students. We had two teachers, Mrs. Amy Miller (teaching kindergarten through third grades) and Mrs. Joetta Webb (teaching fourth and fifth grades). Both teachers taught on a volunteer basis as finances were tight. We also hired an administrator, Mr. Kyle Hammond. This year was both exciting and challenging as we learned to look to God each day for wisdom only He can give.

NCS has grown over the years. During the years from September 2021 through May 2024, the school met in two locations. After many days of praying, giving, and working, God allowed NCS to complete a major building addition. The building addition includes new spacious classrooms, two new restrooms, and a beautiful receptionist desk. This building addition will allow us the school to continue growing in enrollment which means it can help more students grow in Christ. Our reputation as a desirable school for both Christian values and academic strength is growing in our community as well. As students are graduating from Northland Christian School, we look forward to our alumni becoming godly leaders both in our community and the body of Christ.
